This is one of our very best Afternoon Tea experiences as it gives you time with our tea specialist who not only will tailor make a wider selection of teas from our range of over 50 different teas to suit your guests, some of which are only available to the Tea Tasters or Ultimate Afternoon Tea Experience.

This afternoon tea is introduce after customers wanted our afternoon tea expert Belinda Davenport to sit down with them for a short while & tell them more, so it is more focused on the social history of afternoon tea and etiquette, and there’s some intriguing information, such as why the British mostly drink Breakfast Tea, what did Samuel Pepys say about his first drink of tea; How was it first served. Who introduced it to court. Did the Duchess of Bedford really invent afternoon tea. Should you put cream on top of your scone, or jam? ….

Choose from either Traditional or Combination Afternoon Tea

Traditional includes mixed sandwiches (delicious home-made potted beef; free range egg sandwiches with mayonnaise; cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches; ham from our local butchers and smoked salmon – unless an alternative is preferred or required for dietary needs). The Traditional Afternoon Tea also includes a mix of 5 mini luxury cakes each, which will be 10 different ones if presented on a stand for two. Dietary needs such as Vegetarian are catered for, however we are no longer able to cater for Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Egg Free, Vegan or Nut Free.

This version of gift voucher gives a pot of tea each from our extensive range of specialist teas or a cafetiere of artisan coffee or we do have alternative drinks for those who don’t like tea or coffee and each person will have a freshly baked home-made scone with clotted cream, jam and butter as desired.

The Combination version which has the same range of sandwiches, unless advised otherwise at the time of booking. This version includes 2 luxurious cakes each (normally 4 different ones if served on a 3 tier stand for two), then a selection of savoury items such as pate, pork pie, cheese and biscuits and accompaniments and mini soups. Also included each is a freshly baked home-made scone with clotted cream, jam and butter as desired. This version needs a minimum of two sharing. Unfortunately we are unable to offer a Combination version as a vegan, gluten free, or vegetarian option, but it is possible as a Traditional version.

Please note that this version cannot be combined with any other versions of afternoon tea, so anyone holding other gift vouchers will need to upgrade. Feedback from everyone since we launched this version, has been super even from ardent coffee drinkers who finished up liking at least one tea, and as long as you try the samples, it is possible to have coffee with your afternoon tea. Sorry it is not possible to have any children accompanying guests on The Ultimate Afternoon Tea Experience Afternoon Tea bookings.

HOW OUR GIFT VOUCHERS WORK

Gift vouchers are valid for 6 months. Price includes a gift card, postage and packing. For guaranteed delivery date please allow at least 5 working days. If you have any problems using the website, please call or email us and we can take payment over the telephone.

Alternatively, gift vouchers can be collected from the Tea Room/Shop, however they should be pre-ordered to avoid any delays while we are serving. Please state you wish to collect on the order.

All Gift Vouchers ordered with a Christmas message will be given 6 months validity from 25th Dec whatever the date ordered and will be posted as soon as practical, so no need to wait. If you wish your gift voucher to have a “Do not Open until Date” please state this when you place your order, or if you want it sent to yourself instead of the recipient please, please advise us so that we can include an extra envelope otherwise we will assume that you want it straight away.
